С тех пор, как у ЗмиЮка обнаружила ссылку на песню Fairytale by Alexander Rybak, что я уже только не скачала – и клип его, и саму песню – ну и понятное дело, с утра и вечером раза по три включаю.
Очень впечатлилась этим мальчиком. Скрипач, певец, композитор, актер. Такие хорошие, светлые глаза. И тронуло, что, оказывается, этот юный талант исполнял роль скрипача (!) в спектакле Fiddler on the Roof в постановке Oslo Nye Teater и даже получил награду за эту роль – такую сложную и такую глубокую.
Мой кузен на год младше Александра. Его тоже зовут Саша. Выйдя из армии, он с тех пор работает на какой-то там компьютерной фабрике и учиться, пока по крайней мере, не собирается…
Дай ему Б-г, этому мальчику. Не только на Евровидении – вообще по жизни.

Alexander Rybak (born in Minsk, Soviet Union (now Belarus) on May 13, 1986) is a Norwegian violinist, singer, composer and actor. Rybak will represent Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow, Russia.

[edit] Early Life
Rybak was born in the former Soviet Union in what is now Belarus. He and his parents moved to Norway when Rybak was four years old, and that is where he grew up.[1] He has been playing instruments since the age of 5, and he can now play the violin and to some extent the piano. Rybak’s parents are Natalia Valentinovna Rybak who is a well-known pianist and Igor Alexandrovich Rybak who is a well-known violinist in Norway. Alexander has stated «I always liked to entertain and somehow that is my vocation.»[2] He lives in Nesodden outside of the Norwegian capitol Oslo.

Rybak was awarded the highly respected Anders Jahres Culture Prize in 2004.[3] He entered the Norway’s version of Idol reaching the semi final and in 2006 he won the talent competition The Big Chance (Kjempesjansen) on NRK (Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation) with his own song Foolin’.[2] Alexander Rybak has collaborated with artists like a-ha’s lead singer Morten Harket and Arve Tellefsen. As of 2007, Rybak played the fiddler in Oslo Nye Teater’s production Fiddler on the Roof for this role he won the Heddaprisen.[2] He stars as Levi in the film Yohan by directed by Grete Salomonsen, among Rybaks co-stars are noted model and singer Aylar Lie.[4]

[edit] Melodi Grand Prix
Alexander Rybak won the final of the Norwegian national selection Melodi Grand Prix 2009 and will be representing Norway at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009, singing Fairytale[5], a song inspired heavily by Norwegian music. The song was composed and written by Rybak himself[6]. The song is performed with the modern folk dance company Frikar. The song has received good reviews with a 6 out of 6 from Dagbladet a Norwegian newspaper[2]. In an ESCtoday he was the lead in a poll with 71.3% to get into the final from the semi he was in[7].
Rybak achieved a clean sweep, gaining the top score of all 9 voting districts, ending with a combined televote and jury score of 747888, whereas the runner up Tone Damli Aaberge received a combined score of merely 121856.[8]
